The Summit of Fort Payne
A Place of Hope and Healing
Our Home
The Summit is a 16,000 square foot home along with two other homes on 96 acres in Fort Payne, Alabama. Our ministry is a biblically-based 12-month intensive discipleship ministry for women struggling with drugs and alcohol.
Mission
God’s Sanctuary of Hope and Healing, a place set apart as a refuge for God “to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3. The Summit provides an opportunity for those struggling with life controlling problems by providing a safe place to find hope, help and freedom found only in Jesus Christ.
Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God
-
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His blood shed, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.
-
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
-
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
-
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life or they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
-
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across race, gender and class differences.
